Logan's next single "Bite My Tongue" is due out on Friday, September 15th, and today he gave fans a taste of the song on his Instagram account.
We can't wait to hear the finished product!
As promised, Logan was interviewed by former Big Time Rush castmate Stephen Glickman on his weekly podcast today. Logan answered many questions about his experiences filming "Big Time Rush" as well as sharing information about his upcoming music!
Logan explained that the video for "Sleepwalker" was filmed in the Los Angeles area and starred Rachel Yampolsky, who he described as a model and "a sweet person." He was recently in London to film the video for his follow-up to "Sleepwalker," and while he wouldn't give up the song title he did state that his upcoming music is "much different than what I've done before. It's gonna be exciting." He'll be returning to London soon to continue work on the music video. When asked how he finds people to work with on projects, Logan said he has a team that handles various aspects of the process and that he chose the new video's director because he was a fan of previous work the director has done. There is currently no set release date for the video because "we're still getting some things together."
As for his own musical interests, Logan listed some of his current choices as Queens of the Stone Age, The Killers, and Kendrick Lamar. He cited B.B. King, Eric Clapton, The Eagles, The Clash, and "old punk rock" as influences while growing up.
When Glickman asked about his early involvement with the television show, Logan shared that he was discovered by "Big TIme Rush" creator Scott Fellows in a Disney pilot he starred in and filmed in Austin, Texas, by the name of "Life Bites." According to Logan, Fellows claimed that "the show sucked" but Logan was really funny in it and so during the two-year audition process for "Big Time Rush," he pushed for Logan to be cast.
The inevitable question regarding the likelihood of a Big TIme Rush reunion was brought up, and Logan quickly put those rumors to rest. "In the near future, if they're really hoping for that, that's probably not gonna happen. It would not give credit to the stuff that we're all doing now and everybody kind of has their own projects going on and it takes a lot of time. It's amazing to go back and reminisce, but there's a story left to tell for me. It was a great show, there's gonna be plenty more shows for all of us in a lot of different art projects that we're all creating , and that's the best part."
Logan was asked a question sent in by a fan who wanted to know when we can expect his album to be released, and he replied, "That's a little bit tricky. I'm working on a lot of music so I just want to make sure I have everything that I want, so...there's a lot of stories going on. It started out with only a couple of tracks, and not sure if I wanted to do an album and then it just kind of came all at once and I was like 'I'm gonna put together something special.' " He said that the album will be released sometime this year, and that "guitar and bass are huge in the music that I'm making right now."
Though he's taking time away from acting to focus on music, Logan did add that if it's something he loves, he'll go out for it. The final message that he wanted to share with fans was this:
"Music's coming soon, it's gonna be an interesting journey so I'm excited for everybody to come along."

On February 16th, Logan was interviewed over the phone by Abbey from Minnesota's Mix 94.9. The interview was posted on February 22nd in the form of two YouTube videos.
In part one, Logan answers fan questions. We learned that his favorite line from "Sleepwalker" is "Haunted by secrets, my lips are sealed/All of your demons, it turns out they're real." The upcoming album doesn't have a set name yet, but he described it as "magic, love, and intimate." He can quote every line to the movie Home Alone 2. He's inspired by many artists from "old stuff" to new, including Brandon Flowers and "anything from Nirvana to Billy Joel to Billie Holiday to The Eagles."
Part two of the interview focused on Logan's music. "Sleepwalker" is "based off of past relationships and past love and kind of the experiences I've had in my life, and I just thought it was something that I wanted to come out with. I wanted it to be a little more intimate and to have people kind of get a feeling for the tone of the project and I thought it was a good introduction to me." As for the music video, the idea came from Logan and he "wanted it to be kind of one of those videos you could play back again and wonder what's going on and kind of build your own story around it." He can't wait to travel and tour as much as he can for the upcoming album.
The station also featured "Sleepwalker" in its Flip or Flop segment, and the song was successfully voted a Flip!

The reviews of "Sleepwalker" are rolling in! Read what's being said below.
From Beyond the Stage Magazine:
Logan Henderson is no stranger to the music industry. In 2009, Henderson rose to fame with the former pop band Big Time Rush and now has over three million twitter followers who are eagerly awaiting his solo debut. Good news Logan Henderson fans. The wait is finally over.
Today, Henderson released his R&B infused new single “Sleepwalker” that will make anyone want to dance but the song is anything but happy. In fact, the message is melancholy at best. “It’s about a guy who’s stuck in this inception type of dream with this woman, and he’s reliving a lot of things,” he tells Billboard. “A lot of times we can kind of escape our reality. It’s this guy who’s trapped between two worlds of dream world and reality. It’s about life, love and relationships. I’ve always been interested in the dream world and the places our minds go when we sleep.”
It’s a fun track with exceptional lyrics showcasing that some memories are hard to escape. It’s the perfect introduction to a more mature sound and the growth that Henderson has developed in the past few years. “Sleepwalker” was written by the man himself, and is said to be the first taste of what’s to come for him and his upcoming debut project. If it sounds anything like this, we can’t wait.
From Digital Journal:
Overall, Logan Henderson's new single "Sleepwalker" is authentic, raw and deep. It has a haunting vibe to it, and it will resonate well with his fans, and hopefully, it will introduce his music to a new audience. He showcases a tremendous amount of potential as a solo artist. "Sleepwalker" garners an A rating.
From SPIN OR BIN MUSIC:
After a long period of scarce social media presence, it looks likeLogan Henderson has decided to follow in his former Big Time Rush bandmate, James Maslow's footsteps and pursue a solo career in music.
Logan recently released his debut single Sleepwalker and it's not quite something you'd expect from that pretty face of his. Best described as slow pop club music, Sleepwalker is honestly quite a groovy dance song. His smooth voice merges well with the electronic beat and it results in a moody melody that will get you at least nodding along to.
Lyrically, the song is simple but the lines fit well with each other, making it almost poetic, especially in the chorus: / Lock me in chains, throw away the key / Tried to stay awake, but you grab ahold of me / so the lyrics really add to the smoothness of the song. Overall, I'd rate this song a solid 4 out of 5, and I'm keen to see what else Logan has in store for us now that he has broken his silence!
The video for "Sleepwalker" was premiered today exclusively by billboard! Along with the video, they posted an interview with Logan where he explained the song's meaning and his inspiration for writing it. Logan also shared that he's "making music that connects to me, and I'm not trying to play for anybody except what I think feels right."
